Happy Halloween 2016!

For some reason I thought that Halloween 2016 fell on Sunday this year. Turns out that I was wrong and I’ve managed to gain an extra day this year. At least (so far) this Halloween has been an improvement over last year’s. Last year I spent the night passing a kidney stone, which wasn’t fun. I’m not a fan of the ‘body horror’ genre, especially when it’s my own.

Film-wise I’ve chosen Tales of Halloween (2015) and Bride of Re-Animator (1989) to watch this year. I haven’t watched Tales of Halloween before, so it’s good to have something new to watch. I’m a fan of the anthology style horror film (Creepshow, Trick r’ Treat etc.). I’m hoping this is in the same vein (no pun intended). Bride of Reanimator is a sequel to the ‘classic’ adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s Re-Animator. I’ve watched that several times but the sequel, I think, I’ve only watched once, back in the early 90s. I have fond memories of it. I hope it’s a good as I remember.

I’ve been slack with the updates on the blog. I have been busy though. Work has been steady  over the last couple of months. I’ve been working on more book covers, magazines and an annual report. I’ve also, more or less, finished the next overhaul of the site. My plan is to switch hosting at the start of next month (November) and then upgrade. There’s quite a few new projects to add to my portfolio, plus a few to ‘retire’.

Happy Halloween!
